Exciting News For Deer Lake!The Board of Directors of Deer Lake Camp and Conference Centre a ministry of Camp Kakeka Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Pryce as the new Executive Director. Paul will be responsible for fulfilling the mission and vision of the ministry and for overseeing the day to day operations.
Paul is a dynamic Christian leader who brings to  Deer Lake a wealth of experience from his work as Executive Director at Elim Lodge in Peterborough, working as a youth worker with the Yonge Street Mission in Toronto, and a Street Youth Specialist and Director of the Edge Youth Centre with Youth Unlimited in Toronto. Paul is a graduate of Ontario Bible College with a major in Camping. He was also on summer staff for seven years at our previous property on Basshaunt Lake in Haliburton.
Paul is an ordained minister who currently teaches on homelessness and poverty, he is also a part time real estate agent with Royal LePage. Paul joins our leadership team with his wife Maureen and their 4 children and foster daughter.
Deer Lake is a Christian camp and conference centre that operates a year round full service facility. We are the first choice of many groups in Ontario and beyond for hosting their camps, retreats and conferences. Our beautiful cottages are in high demand for family vacations and reunions. The facility is located 17 km west of South River Ontario on Deer Lake off Eagle Lake Road. We are conveniently located 1 hour north of Huntsville and 4 hours north of the GTA.
